Tate Kuelling is a producer and director. He was raised in Indiana, Michigan, and New York. It was in New York that he developed a passion for photography towards the end of high school. Following this passion, Tate attended Emerson College, where he earned a B.F.A. in Film Production with a concentration in Directing. Now living full-time in Los Angeles, Tate commutes regularly between Los Angeles and Miami.
Tate Kuelling honed his craft under the guidance of director Bryan Buckley, often dubbed the "King of The SuperBowl" for his prolific and award-winning work in Super Bowl advertising. Working closely with Bryan and his Executive Producer, Matt Lefebvre, Tate gained invaluable experience in the high-stakes world of commercial production. This mentorship provided Tate with deep insights into the art of storytelling, the importance of precision in directing, and the nuances of leading a creative team.
He is currently making his first narrative short film, APEX, and in tandem launched a production company named "TwinTide".
